Interview Tip 1:
Plan Ahead - Research the company by looking at their website or researching them on the web. Review your work experiences. Be ready to support past career accomplishments with specific information targeted toward the company's and the position's needs.
Interview Tip 2:
Practice - Once you have finished studying, begin rehearsing. Feel free to write down answers if it helps to make your presentation more concise. Only give answers about the information your new employer will want to know.
Interview Tip 3:
Go Alone- Don't take friends or children to an interview. Going by yourself allows you to focus and mentally prepare for the interview.
Interview Tip 4:
Firm Handshake- Make sure to shake your interviewers hand firmly, his/her first impression of you is based on your handshake!

Eye Contact - Maintain eye contact with your interviewer. Employers can tell your interest in your eyes.

Be Positive & Smile! A warm smile is very inviting. Say things that put you in the best light. Avoid negative comments about past employers.

Relax - Try taking a couple of deep breaths before your interview. During the interview remember that your interviewer is human just like you are. Show confidence by not acting nervous.

Show Interest - Listen carefully to the questions asked. Ask the interviewer to restate a question if you are confused.

Relate - Try to relate your answers to the interviewer and his or her company. Focus on achievements relevant to the position. Answer questions as directly as possible.

Use Examples- Use concrete examples of how your skills and abilities would fit the job.

Encourage - Encourage the interviewer to share information about his or her company. Demonstrate your interest.

Bring your References- Bring your "Fact Sheet" with telephone numbers and addresses of your references and former employers. At the conclusion of your interview, ask the interviewer if you can leave your references for any questions they may have about your past performance.
- After interviewing, Always send a thank you letter to the employer thanking them for their time and restating your interest in the position.
