Helping Austin Gala, August 6, 2005
Amy Stanley and Paul Arcediano, together with a group of dedicated friends, formed Helping Austin in 2004 as a way to bring awareness and raise funds for Austin’s non-profits that were in need. On August 6, 2005, Helping Austin held its first annual gala, "Trip Around the World", at Austin's own Shoreline Grill. The night was filled with a live auction, cuisine from around the world, and live music from various Austin artists who donated their time. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas was the recipient of the funds from the event.
